AFOLAKE OLUBUNMI, MANAGING ATTORNEY.
Afolake Olubunmi, known to friends, colleagues, and clients as Fola, was raised and educated in Belgium, Nigeria, and England. She earned her law degree from the University of Buckingham in England and practices immigration law in the United States.
Fola’s multicultural background and extensive travels have given her an appreciation for diverse cultures and people and the ability to passionately advocate in best interest of her global network of clients. Her in-depth understanding of complex immigration laws and her personal experiences as an immigrant have served her well in her dealings with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) over the past twenty years.
Whether in the U.S or in many of the countries where Fola’s clients are based, they are assured of her constant commitment and advocacy on their behalf. For Fola, practicing immigration law is more than a job; it is a passion and a privilege. Having personally experienced the consequences of misinformation and ignorance of immigration laws, she understands the importance of hiring a competent attorney that will vigorously advocate for clients.
“I have never known an attorney more committed to their clients or more competent to represent their best interests than my sister. For those of us that struggle with the anxieties and frustrations of US immigration law, it’s personal. There is nothing more comforting than knowing your attorney understands this struggle and is personally committed to your cause.” - Tolu Olubunmi, internationally respected immigrants’ rights activist and social entrepreneur.

Jurandir and Maria
I happened to fall in love with a man from another country. I had no idea that I would be facing adversity and hardship because of it. We had a child together and got married. We were a family. We never thought our family would be torn apart right before our very eyes. I had absolutely no idea how to file for my husband, who accidentally allowed his visa to expire. At the same time, we both feared that if we even started filing, that he would be deported. In all honesty, we wanted to do the right thing, but we were simply afraid of the unknown. Then it happened, the day that our family was torn apart. My heart felt like it had hit the ground. I found myself standing on the side of the road; feeling like my world was just turned upside down. My world seemed so cold, I was confused and distraught. They took my husband from me and I had no idea how to contact him or when I would ever see him again. To make a long story short, I ended up following him to his country. A foreign land 6,000 miles away from my home and a place I knew absolutely nothing about. It took 8 years until we were able to get a green card for my husband and move back to the U.S. Today, I thank God for the help of Olubunmi Law, Fola played a huge role in the success of finally being able to file for my husband and get approval for his return. I highly recommend her because of the simple fact that she knows what she is doing; she is honest, and affordable. My family considers Fola a lifesaver! She was recommended to us during a very stressful time dealing with the US Immigration. She took our case and very efficiently and honestly handled it bringing us to the results we needed! We have referred many friends to her services and they have not been disappointed. Fola Olubunmi is always mentioned to my clients, especially Investors who are moving to the US. Thank you, Fola!
I have TPS and Fola has helped my mother and I renew our status from when we met her on a pro bono basis. She answers my questions when I call, even when it’s not immigration related and I just need some guidance. She is constantly on my case about college and my future plans… She is very kind and I would recommend her without any reservation.
